Selling Art on Essential Artwork
Showing work in galleries and at art exhibtions has always been the traditional
way of selling art. Until now. With the growth of the internet, it's never been
easier to find what you want to buy online with a huge choice all instantly searchable.
People will now spend longer looking for the right art for them as opposed to visiting
a gallery and buying the one that takes their eye from a limited range.
Here at Essential Artwork, we feel we offer a lot more than most online art galleries.
Firstly, we've based on artistic knowledge. Throughout the design and creation of
the website, we have had high levels of input and guidance from several artists
and so the site should be able to accomodate most of your needs as an artist. Please
get in touch if there is anything we have missed and we will consider implementing
it if we think there is sufficient demand.
Artwork here is always displayed in its true proportions, allowing each image to
be seen and appreciated in its entirety.
Rather than charge you commission on every sale, we charge a low annual amount (or
monthly installments) to put your artwork on the site. (Bronze membership is free
but restricts artists to 5 items of artwork). The middle man is therefore cut out
of any transaction you make and allows you to have direct contact with your buyers.
Buyers will be happy knowing that the artist is benefiting directly from sales and
that they aren't paying an over-inflated amount to compensate for artist's commission.
